I've been doing this for 6 years now...
And I was passing drinks and bussing tables with a wedding company for 3 years before I was working with a camera. In 2025, after my first year in business full time, I realized there are 3 core values I want to put first.
01.
Transparency
& Trust
I say it all the time - we've all had to get used to living in a scam economy. Your wedding day isn't an appliance that's actually 1/8th the size the photo online made it look. It's a massive financial investment, and I'd be a fool to not appreciate that/ So no questions are off the table; if you'd appreciate talking to past clients or want to know why I price things the way I do, I'm here to help alleviate worries. I also routinely give folks on how to vet vendors, especially photographers, so don't be afraid to ask for help!

Authenticity
Most people aren't used to a camera tracking them for an entire day, and that's probably for the best! My job is to meet you where you are, not assume you have modeling experience. That's why our consultations ahead of time are so crucial; we'll take time to talk about your guests, your relationships, and what you're most excited for. Even though it's just a bit of prep, it'll help me predict the best candid moments instead of playing catch up.

Artistic Enthusiasm
Saying "every wedding is unique" isn't just some marketing jargon. The opportunity to capture a different experience for each wedding is what makes this job fun. That's why I set up style consultations to better tailor my approach to your vision. We'll talk through your inspiration board so I can get to the why of what draws you to certain images but not others. Whether you've already got a theme in mind or you have no clue what you're looking for, we'll get to the bottom of it.

My Experience
I've been working in the wedding industry for close to 9 years now - first as a caterer during undergrad, now as photographer and videographer for the past 6. I know how to handle little day-of crises. I've worked 13-hour days, and I've been told many a time that I was a calming presence on someone's big, crazy day. That's all to say that I personally love the balance of improvised adjustments and heartfelt moments that is the wedding industry.
My Demeanor
I'm not the silent photographer in a corner dressed fully in black. I just don't think it actually works that well for my style of photography. Instead I wear guest attire and look to get to know your friends & family. That way, when it comes to the bigger moments, they're already comfortable with me and my camera flash pointed their way.
My Eye
My goal is always to bring an artistic flair to weddings. That means that my focus is wide when I enter a space so that I can pick out unique ways to be the "eyes" of the party. While most of my work is candid, I'll pull folks to a spot when I've found a composition that feels special.
Also...
You want A photographer who will catch you a frog
What I mean is, I'm a "get the shot" kinda guy. Too many years playing baseball left me feeling bad if I don't come home at least a little dirty. If I'm off to side of your ceremony in a pose resembling a pig looking for truffles...I promise you the photo is worth it.
(But also yes, I know I look silly)
